Rules of Play



Rule 1 - Have Fun.

Rule 2 - U.S.G.A. Rules will be used with the following exceptions

                 A - Winter rules apply - you may roll the ball when in the fairway only. Not from the rough, sand or thru the green 
                 B - Ball out of Bounds - two club length from point of crossing O.B. Markers.

Stroke and Distance may also be taken (Line of flight is not an acceptable alternative.)
                 C - Putts may be conceded by opponents.
                          a - Putts for par or better may not be conceded if player is in skins game.

Rule 3 - Rounds may not be played at a time other than scheduled by the League

                 A - Subs may be used with established handicaps.
                 B - A ghost sub will be used if no sub is available.
                       a - score will be calculated by players handicap plus 2 strokes.
                       b - when entire team is absent, they are not eligible for 2 points for Net Score.

*Ghost Team will use league average for that day.

Rule 4 -   If a player leaves course during a match in progress said players team forfeits the entire match.

Rule 5 -   If entire league is rained out matches will be moved to the end of the schedule if time permits.

Rule 6 -   If rain begins during play.

                 A - Continue to play unless lightning is spotted or water is accumulating on greens or fairway.
                 B - If a rain delay occurs we will wait a reasonable amount of time before terminating play.
                       a - Rules committee will make finale decision
                       b - Any teams leaving course and play resumes will forfeit entire match.
                             1 - (You may take shelter or go to clubhouse)
                       c - If all matches have played a minimum of 5 holes round will stand
                              1 - Holes not finished will be halved
                               2 - Net totals will be based on holes completed.

Rule 7 -  Skins 
              
              A - Players must pay for skins before play begins to be eligible
                     a - skins are for Gross and Net scores
                     b - Scores of par or better qualify
                     c - putts may not be conceded for pars or better
                     d - moneys will be split by qualified participants
                     e - if no winners moneys will carried over to the  next week
                     f - to be eligible for carry over players must pay for current week and pay for prior week. 

Rule 8 - Pins

             A - Players must pay for pins before play begins to be eligible
                    a - ball must be on the green to be eligible
                    b - moneys will be split by qualified participants
                    c - if no winners moneys will carry over to next week
                    d - to be eligible for carry over players must pay for current week and pay for prior week.

Rule 9 - Super Skin                   

            A - See Rule 7

             B - To be eligible for Super Skin players must participate in weekly skins game.
                   
Rule 10 - Practice Rounds

            Playing practice round on same course as the event that day will make the player ineligible for skins, closest to the pins and super skins for that event.

Exception: The opposite nine holes is unplayable that day.

Rule 11 - Players must use same brand and model of golf ball for the entire HOLE played.

Exception: Ball is lost or deemed unplayable.

 

LOCAL RULES

Hole #7 Dunes Course (Back Nine)

          If you hit tee shot into the pond directly in front off tee box play your 3rd shot from the forward tee area adjacent to the pond.
